Some famous international pharmaceutical manufacturer produced a now pharmaceutical for ED(Erectile dysfunction). In order to know the Chinese customers’ acceptability to this kind of pharmaceutical and their habit of using it, it entrusted our company to find some ED sufferers at different levels and some doctors to do a survey.
The process
First, we divided the interviewees into two groups, the patient and the doctors.
As for the doctors, we learnt from the clients about the concept and characteristics of the pharmaceutical and then the supervisors went to the andriatric department of the hospitals. And through our net, we went to most of the good hospitals in shanghai. At first, some doctors thought we were promoting the pharmaceutical and they are not willing to talk with us. But after several talks, our supervisors made an appointment with more than 20 senior doctors of andrology within a week and we built a good relationship with them. And this helped us a lot in the later part of the project.
For the ED sufferers, first we looked for them through our own net, but this project was very special, so this routine didn’t work well. So we met a really difficult situation in looking for ED sufferers.
And at that time, our good relationship with the doctors helped us a lot. Through the introduction of doctors, we contacted with some sufferers and we found the interviewees met our needs at last.
After the interviewing recruitment, we adopted some different processing methods because of the uniqueness of this project, for the people attending the meeting is special.
1.We put a stereo on the site and we played light music continuously during the interview. We wanted to give the interviewees a lively and friendly feeling.
2.During the process of selecting, we try to know the interviewees’ small habits in foods or cigarettes by asking small questions. And during the meeting, we put some food and cigarettes that they used to near them. By this, we wanted to make them feel at home and be relaxed.
3.In the focus group, apart from the moderator, we invited a professor-level doctor there to answer
interviewees’ questions which make them feel our project is serious.
Through these methods, we finished this special project in a short period of time. We won the trust from the clients and established a good and ever-long relationship with them.
